entertainmentINDUSTRY Agency will be conducting a model and designer casting for The Brooklynwave Fashion Show for Fashion Week.

We are casting for 20 Female and 10 Male models.

All ethnicities

Ages: 18 and up

Females: 5’8” and taller, sizes 0-10 (and selective plus sizes)

Males: 5’10” and taller, sizes 30-34w, 38 and up jacket (well-toned bodies)

Looking for seasoned models who can take direction. Model experience would be preferred, but is not required. Please bring some form of Headshot or Comp Card to leave with the casting director. Please be prepared to walk. Heels for ladies and hard-bottomed shoes for the gentleman.

Designers may also audition at the open call casting. Please bring in (3) three garments that show the versatility and expertise of your work. Also, if you have a portfolio available, please have it on hand for viewing.

We are seeking the following: Magazine publishing and creative services company, is looking for interns for a variety of duties. All candidates should be detail-oriented, culturally aware, and self-motivated. Interns are strongly encouraged to be proactive and to find areas where their expertise can help the publication. We are a very hard working team, well organized and very driven. You must be independent and able to keep up with a fast-paced environment, while enjoying the challenge of working on multiple large projects with high responsibility and minimal staff. We operate in a small office environment with a start-up feel and are looking for upbeat candidates who are interested in learning the ins and outs of magazine publishing and related fields.

Administrative Intern - Interns needed to identify potential advertising clients, handle daily clerical and administrative needs. These researchers will build a prospect database and advise reader editorial content to develop marketing strategies aimed at businesses that want to reach our national audience. Candidates should be able to multi-task and work independently on a tight deadline. Applicants must have good verbal, written and communication skills.

Production Intern - Tasks include fact checking within the production processes, assist in formatting and recording listings, sorting physical and electronic information, selecting events and writing listings. Marketing Intern - Duties include building databases, research, contacting potential magazine advertisers, organizing marketing materials, writing press releases, attending special events, maintaining advertiser information, and emailing press releases. Editorial Intern - Will pitch ideas to senior staff and assist in writing articles for the publication. Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Tasks may include being a liaison between editors and publicists, keeping track of the latest news in the urban music/ fashion world and gathering info and artwork for various departments. Editorial duties will include fact-checking, generating story ideas, managing incoming pitch letters and correspondence. Writing opportunities available based on skill and experience. Candidates should be able to multi-task and work independently on a tight deadline. Applicants must have good verbal, written and communication skills.

Photography Intern- Will assist with pictorials. Specific tasks include the organization of photos that come in, possibly taking photos for magazine articles and interviews, act as field photographer accompanying editors and/or writers on assignments. The photo interns duties will include photo research, soliciting and gathering artwork to be used in each issue, and may include typing photo credits/ editorial changes and assisting on photo shoots and the coordination of shoots. Must be able to perform Internet searches effectively and have a good phone manner. Candidates should be able to multi-task and work independently on a tight deadline. Applicants must have good verbal, written and communication skills.

Design Intern - Intern will assist art director in all aspects of the layout and design of the magazine. Knowledge of Photoshop,Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and InDesign preferred. Candidates should be able to multi-task and work independently on a tight deadline. Applicants must have good verbal, written and communication skills.

Fashion Intern - Will assist in fashion and beauty layouts. Candidate should be creative and self-motivated with a sharp eye for spotting new and emerging urban fashion trends. Intern will serve as liaison between editors between editors and fashion industry publicists and designer showrooms. Candidates should be able to multi-task and work independently on a tight deadline. Applicants must have good verbal, written and communication skills.

Promotion Intern - Will assist in marketing and promoting the publication and related property. Candidate should be self-motivated, pro-active, enthusiastic, team player. Must be able to meet deadlines. Ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker.

Candidates should be available no less than 3 days a weeks (though hours can be flexible). The ideal candidate will be able to work at least 15 hours a week. These internships are for qualified candidates.

ALL INTERNSHIPS ARE UNPAID.

This is a great opportunity for those seeking to enter into the entertainment, music and fashion industries. In addition to getting their names in a national magazine's masthead, interns will have the opportunity to attend industry functions, possibly meet and/or interview artists and work on building a long list of industry contacts.
